IFSCO, the International Federation of Scout and Guide Stamp Collecting Organizations, is the association that brings together many national philately scout clubs. Primary purposes: to assist the member associations and to promote philatelic scout collecting. Born in September 2000 on the occasion of the legendary and memorable 3rd EuroScout in Comacchio, the result of previous international contacts with EuroScout 1996 and 1998.
The federal direction is held by the Council of Delegates, made up of at least one and not more than three delegates for each club; one of the member clubs will assume the presidency for two years (from one EuroScout to the next), after which another club will take over. There have been nine founding associations, today there are sixteen federations worldwide (see website).
